We are thrilled to present an opportunity for a Revit Technician - Structural Building Design to join our expanding team in Dunwoody, GA . The ideal candidate should exhibit a growing level of autonomy in their work and possess the ability to make sound decisions within established procedures and drafting standards. While more complex issues may be referred to senior technicians or supervisors, this role involves independent execution with periodic review by technical leads, supervisors, or internal clients.Primary Responsibilities:
Create precise, detailed, and clear construction drawings using Autodesk Revit for a variety of projects such as industrial, manufacturing, data centers, commercial, educational, healthcare, retail, adaptive reuse, and renovations. Collaborate internally and externally with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate representation of design intent, model changes, and client expectations in deliverables. Work closely with structural engineers and designers to develop contract documents and sketches following industry and internal drafting standards. Apply solid knowledge of building design, drafting, and engineering principles to efficiently create detailed contract documents. Participate in industry events, workshops, and seminars, and share acquired knowledge within the organization to encourage ongoing learning and development. Assist in reviewing shop drawings and submittals when necessary. Maintain effective communication with the project team to ensure clear understanding and implementation of procedural or design changes.Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or technical certification preferred. 2-7 years of relevant experience in BIM drafting and modeling. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is a must. Experience working with various structural systems, including wood, structural steel, light gauge steel, concrete, and masonry in low- to mid-rise buildings. Familiarity with shallow and deep foundation systems.Skills and Qualities:
Quick to grasp and apply new concepts, tools, and industry best practices. Adherence to established workflows, with deviations approved by technical leads or supervisors. Proactive in supporting daily operational needs, including office and facilities organization. Self-motivated, flexible, and eager to develop within a collaborative team setting.
