ARCHITECTURAL ASSOCIATE
to support our noise abatement project near O'Hare and Midway airports. This is a temporary position through December 2026. A major responsibility for this position will be conducting field visits, documenting and reporting on issues, and helping develop effective solutions. Under the direction of an Architect or other senior managers, you will: Conduct site visits and prepare field reports documenting existing conditions and project progress. Assist with the development, modification, and review of architectural drawings and construction documents. Assist with basic architectural calculations, measurements, and project analysis. Support the preparation, organization, and coordination of architectural documentation. Assist with reviewing plans and documents for compliance with applicable building codes, zoning requirements, and ADA standards. Coordinate with project team members, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. We are looking for someone who has: Associate's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 1 year of experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or a related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. Basic knowledge of architectural principles, practices, and construction documentation. Basic understanding of building codes, zoning requirements, and ADA standards. Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team environment. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Valid driver's license, satisfactory DMV record, and reliable access to a vehicle. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
