$25 to $28 / hour Position Overview Seeking an Architectural Designer to support the development of construction and design documentation for commercial projects across multiple locations. This role collaborates with project teams to produce technical drawings, coordinate project requirements, and assist in delivering high-quality design solutions from concept through construction. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed construction documents that meet applicable building codes and project requirements. Support architectural projects under the guidance of senior design professionals and project leaders. Develop practical and creative design solutions that align with project objectives and client standards. Evaluate existing facilities and incorporate program requirements into project designs. Select and apply appropriate building systems, materials, and construction components. Assist with project scheduling and help maintain established deadlines for assigned work. Communicate potential scope changes and project impacts to project leadership. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies throughout project development. Research and apply relevant building codes, accessibility requirements, and local regulations. Conduct due diligence activities, including zoning and permitting research. Address plan review comments and assist with permit approval processes. Support communication with municipalities, consultants, and construction teams regarding project documentation. Produce drawings in accordance with established drafting and CAD standards. Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into project deliverables. Manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of three years of professional experience in architectural design, drafting, or construction documentation. Proficiency with AutoCAD is required; experience with Revit is preferred. Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building systems, construction methods, and industry standards. Experience preparing technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Ability to work independently on routine to moderately complex projects. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Experience supporting commercial, retail, restaurant, hospitality, or similar multi-site projects is preferred. Familiarity with building codes, accessibility standards, zoning requirements, and permitting processes. Working knowledge of design and visualization software such as SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and related programs is beneficial. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
