Job Description
Job Summary Architectural Design & Planning Lead the design and development of commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, and hospitality projects Prepare conceptual designs, site plans, floor plans, elevations, building sections, and construction documents Develop space planning solutions that maximize functionality, efficiency, and user experience Collaborate with clients to establish project goals, budgets, schedules, and design objectives Ensure designs align with project requirements, zoning regulations, and applicable building codes Participate in design presentations and client meetings throughout the project lifecycle Technical Documentation & Coordination Produce and coordinate complete architectural construction documents Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil engineering consultants Review consultant drawings and specifications for consistency and integration Assist in obtaining permits and approvals from local jurisdictions Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations Project Management & Construction Administration Manage multiple projects simultaneously from schematic design through project completion Coordinate project schedules, milestones, and deliverables Conduct site visits and field observations during construction Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders Work closely with contractors, owners, and consultants to resolve design and construction issues Monitor projects to ensure adherence to design intent, budget, and schedule Client & Business Development Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, contractors, and industry partners Participate in project interviews, proposals, and presentations Assist in identifying new project opportunities and market trends Support the firm's commitment to quality design and client satisfaction Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited program Licensed Architect preferred, or actively pursuing licensure 5+ years of experience in commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, or hospitality architecture Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, zoning ordinances, and construction methods Experience preparing construction documents and coordinating consultant teams Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills Experience with multifamily housing, mixed-use developments, and commercial tenant improvement projects Knowledge of wood-frame, podium, steel, and concrete construction systems Familiarity with permitting and entitlement processes Experience with construction administration and project management
