Senior Structural Designer - Full-time Contract

Summary:

This role focuses on heavy industrial structural design, including full development of concrete and steel plans, sections, details, models, and construction documents. The designer will support an engineering design team on a large heavy industrial/mining project, coordinating structural deliverables with other disciplines. Core tools and technical areas include AutoCAD Plant 3D, Autodesk Advance Steel, Bentley ProStructures, CADWorx, 3D modeling, CAD standards, and concrete/steel construction documentation. Requirements 5-15+ years of heavy industrial structural design and layout experience, with strong concrete and steel design documentation background. Experience taking engineering sketches through full construction-document development, including plans, sections, and details. Required experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and Autodesk Advance Steel; exposure to Bentley ProStructures and CADWorx is also valuable. Responsibilities Create full concrete and steel construction models and documents for heavy industrial project work. Coordinate structural drawings with engineering and other disciplines to support alignment, compliance, and drawing accuracy. Help establish, document, implement, and continuously improve CAD standards, project CAD setup, and related design procedures. Important Notes This role is based in New Orleans, LA and is onsite The expected schedule is a standard Monday-Friday first-shift work week.

GRPA Pay:

$66.00 - $73.00 per hour
