The Suffolk County Water Authority is seeking a Draftsperson III to join our Construction Maintenance Department in Oakdale, NY. The hours for this position are Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Construction Maintenance Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and designing water main construction projects, along with preparing construction project estimates.
Responsibilities:
Create custom water main drawings from field sketches, information provided by inspectors, or existing GIS and CADD data. Maintain project related records and drawings to ensure engineering drawings and documents standards are met. Prepare water main construction and restoration project estimates. Create 3D Isometric drawings for large infrastructure projects.
Qualifications :
Completion of 1,000 hour draft course or equivalent work experience required. Minimum 2 years Computer Aided Design experience required. Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of GIS preferred. Utility/pipeline construction experience a plus.
