This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including new construction, historic rehabilitation, tenant improvements, hospitality developments, and mixed-use properties. The Architectural Designer will play an integral role in the design and documentation process, collaborating closely with our Development, Construction, Leasing, and Property Management teams. Unlike many traditional architecture firms, our designers work directly alongside Development, Construction, Leasing, and Property Management professionals, providing a unique opportunity to see projects through every stage of the development process—from concept through construction and occupancy. What You'll Do Develop architectural concepts and design solutions for new construction, renovations, adaptive reuse, and tenant improvement projects. Prepare construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and specifications. Create 3D models, renderings, and presentation materials to support project planning and stakeholder communication. Coordinate architectural work with consulting engineers, code officials, contractors, and other project stakeholders. Participate in project meetings and collaborate with internal Development, Construction, Leasing, and Property Management teams. Assist in managing project schedules and deliverables to maintain project timelines. Conduct site visits during design and construction phases to evaluate existing conditions, review project progress, and address field issues. Support permitting, code review, and regulatory approval processes. Respond to requests for information (RFIs), submittals, and construction-related questions during project execution. Maintain a high level of professionalism while representing Iskalo Development and its affiliated companies. Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Architecture 3-7 years of architectural design experience Proficiency in Revit Working knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and applicable building codes Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to project sites Preferred Master's Degree in Architecture Commercial project experience Experience working on projects from schematic design through construction administration Progress toward architectural licensure or interest in pursuing licensure AutoCAD experience Technical Skills Revit Adobe Creative Suite Bluebeam Microsoft Office Suite AutoCAD (preferred) What We're Looking For Strong design sensibility and attention to detail Excellent organizational and project management skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced development environment Commitment to producing high-quality work and continuously improving processes Physical Requirements Ability to work at a computer for extended periods Ability to travel to local project sites and affiliate properties Ability to walk active construction sites and navigate varying site conditions Ability to occasionally lift and carry project materials or equipment Iskalo Development Corp. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
