Construction Administrator | Toledo, OH IMEG Corporation life insurance, tuition reimbursement United States, Ohio, Toledo 5577 Airport Highway (Show on map) May 27, 2026 IMEG is hiring a Construction Administrator in Toledo, OH, to perform site observations during construction and provide information to contractors as requested. In this role, you will help keep engineers informed of project status, potential problems, and liability issues while observing work through meetings and site visits to verify progress and quality are in accordance with contract documents. You'll also support engineering teams working on a variety of vertical building design projects. Principal Responsibilities Review project scope, contracted services, and budget requirements
Meet with operations leaders, project managers, and design engineers to confirm project expectations and assigned responsibilities
Prepare work schedules and time projections, and coordinate work with the Construction Supervisor and design engineers
Review, clarify, and interpret contract documents with contractors and obtain design information from engineers as needed
Issue reports regarding project deficiencies and document events and circumstances in the field
Collect data, review change orders with the design engineer, and prepare project closeout documents when needed
Coordinate construction issues between architectural and engineering design teams
Review contractor payment applications and forward recommendations to the Project Manager
Assist the client with final observation of the work and collect required contractor documentation at project completion
Attend required construction progress meetings and report proceedings Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's Degree (Science) or Associate Degree preferred in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent
6 years of experience minimum required, 10 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry OR
Associates degree, or certificate, in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
10 years of experience minimum required, 14 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry
Must be familiar with design processes and interpretation of architectural and engineering design documents
Knowledge of design and construction techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of technical plans and drawings
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and structures
Field experience or skilled trades a plus
Strong interpersonal skills
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Ability to travel 20-50% with occasional overnight stays

Construction Administration Team Highlights Beyond design, IMEG provides construction administration services, acting as the client's representative during building construction.
This includes reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and monitoring the work to verify it adheres to the engineering plans and quality standards.
By being involved in the construction phase, IMEG helps ensure that issues are promptly resolved and that the finished project meets the intended performance and safety criteria.
