We are seeking a motivated Architectural Design Professional to join our staff in Springfield, MO. This is a highly strategic role within our firm, offering a clear path for professional advancement as we map out long-term leadership and Architect of Record (AOR) transitions. Instead of early-stage predevelopment and raw conceptual/creative design, this position is focused on the critical execution and management phases of architecture. You will work directly under our company's president and our licensed Architect of Record, gaining the hands-on, comprehensive experience required to either achieve your licensure goals or expand your management capabilities.
Coordinate seamlessly with internal teams, external consultants, and clients throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Zoning & Permitting:
Navigate local zoning ordinances, research municipal codes, and lead the preparation and submission of complete project permitting packages.
City & Public Presentations:
Prepare technical exhibits and represent the firm during city presentations, planning and zoning meetings, and public hearings.
Construction Documents:
Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other software to produce high-quality, technically sound, and well-coordinated construction documents.
Plan & Submittal Review:
Review plan documents and product submittals with a rigorous attention to detail to maintain structural integrity and design standards.
Emerging Technologies:
Leverage emerging technologies and AI-driven tools to streamline existing design processes and enhance technical drawing accuracy.
Standards Advocacy:

Qualifications Licensure Status:
Registered Architect OR actively on a path to professional licensure (enrollment in or graduation from a Master of Architecture program or similar qualifying path preferred).
Experience:
A proven background in drafting, technical design, or project coordination within an architectural or engineering firm.
Technical Proficiency:
Expert-level skills in AutoCAD and SketchUp. Familiarity with Revit or Lumion is highly valued.
Municipal Knowledge:
Strong interest or demonstrated experience dealing with zoning laws, building codes, code compliance, and municipal approvals.
Detail-Focused:
Direct experience with high-tolerance technical drawings or shop-drawing reviews.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
