Job Description

Job Title:
Architect Job Description This role focuses on producing high-quality construction drawings and documentation for public transportation projects using Revit, AutoCAD, and MicroStation. The architect participates in all phases of project delivery, from schematic design and design development through construction documents and construction administration, while collaborating closely with project leaders, internal teams, and public transportation agencies in the
NJ/NY/PA
region. Responsibilities Produce accurate and detailed construction drawings for public transportation projects using Revit as the primary tool, along with AutoCAD and MicroStation. Support all phases of the design process, including schematic design, design development, construction drawings and documentation, and construction administration, depending on project needs. Report directly to the Project Lead and collaborate with principals, project architects, and other team members in an open studio environment. Develop and refine architectural designs for institutional, educational, and public transportation projects with a strong focus on constructability and technical quality. Create and coordinate construction documents that clearly communicate design intent, technical details, and building systems integration. Apply a strong understanding of how buildings are assembled to produce details and documentation that support efficient construction. Participate in construction administration activities as needed, such as reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and coordinating with the design team on field-related issues. Coordinate and communicate with public transportation clients and agencies, including entities such as state departments of transportation and transit authorities, as required by the project. Travel to project sites in New Jersey, New York, and surrounding areas to conduct field visits, observe existing conditions, and support project coordination. Prepare clear 3D presentations and visual materials to communicate design concepts and technical solutions. Contribute to a collaborative studio culture by sharing ideas, participating in design discussions, and supporting colleagues with varied experience levels. Work independently with limited guidance while maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines, and proactively solving design and technical problems. Support the ongoing development of project documentation standards and best practices within the firm. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to professional growth, including pursuing architectural licensure with the support and resources provided. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Sparta, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
