Full Job Description Civil Design Project Manager Location:
Shorewood, IL (Hybrid)
Salary Range:

We're seeking a Civil Design Project Manager to lead impactful public infrastructure and site development projects throughout Illinois. What You'll Do As a Civil Design Project Manager, you'll oversee the planning, design, and delivery of diverse civil engineering projects while serving as a technical leader, client advisor, and mentor to engineering staff. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple civil engineering projects from concept through construction. Lead and mentor Design Engineers, Project Engineers, and technical staff. Oversee the design and permitting of: Roadway rehabilitation and reconstruction projects Water main and sanitary sewer improvements Stormwater management systems Bicycle and pedestrian facilities Parks and public spaces Commercial, industrial, and municipal site development Direct site development efforts including grading, drainage, utility design, access, circulation, and permitting. Review and approve engineering plans, technical specifications, reports, and design calculations. Coordinate with clients, municipalities, agencies, subconsultants, and internal stakeholders. Develop project scopes, proposals, schedules, and budgets. Monitor project performance, profitability, and client satisfaction. Lead client meetings, presentations, and project discussions. Support business development efforts and help grow key client relationships.
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 7+ years of civil engineering experience with increasing project management responsibility. Experience managing transportation, municipal infrastructure, public works, or site development projects. Strong site development design experience including grading, drainage, utilities, and permitting. Knowledge of Illinois municipal regulations, IDOT requirements, and county permitting processes. Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills. Proficiency with MicroStation and Geopak, or comparable software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or OpenRoads Designer. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license. Candidates actively pursuing PE licensure are encouraged to apply. Why Join TWG Engineering?
Good Faith Salary Range:
The annual starting salary for this position is between $125,000 to $155,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
