Job Description
UFP Site Built is the leader in designing and manufacturing value-added wood and non-wood products for the construction industry. We offer a wide variety of wood structural components, aluminum decks and rails, and light gauge steel structural components. The Multifamily Designer is responsible for the accurate design of the roof and floor trusses, walls, and components for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects, and other industrial-engineered products. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Designs metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels utilizing adequate software Optimizes designs for maximum efficiency Reviews orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy Assists sales and production with design service and troubleshooting Ensures efficient resource utilization and initiates corrective action as required Prepares various reports as required Performs other duties as required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience is required Minimum 7+ years of experience in related field/responsibilities Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software are preferred Working knowledge of floor and rood systems and the ability to spec out beams and hangars Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook $45,000 - 75,000 annually
