Job Description

Structural Drafter (Revit) - Intermediate Level Job Description We are seeking an Intermediate‑level Structural Drafter to support the development and production of structural construction documents using Autodesk Revit . This role works closely with structural engineers to translate design intent into accurate, coordinated, and high‑quality models and drawings across a variety of project types. This position is ideal for a drafter with solid Revit experience who can contribute independently while continuing to grow technically within a collaborative engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain structural Revit models in support of engineering design Produce construction documents , including plans, sections, details, schedules, and general notes, under the direction of structural engineers Accurately incorporate redlines, sketches, and markups into Revit models Coordinate structural models with architectural and other engineering disciplines to identify and resolve conflicts Assist with BIM coordination , model cleanup, and document quality control Support drawing and model revisions through design development, permitting, and construction phases Maintain adherence to drafting and BIM standards , templates, and best practices Organize and manage drawing sets, model versions, and project files Participate in internal coordination meetings as needed to support project delivery Required Skills Structural drafting using Autodesk Revit Construction document production BIM workflows Structural drawings Drafting standards and documentation practices Coordination with multidisciplinary design teams Top Skills (Must‑Have) Revit Structural Drafting BIM Construction Documents Bluebeam (review/markup support) Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate degree or technical training in Drafting, BIM, or a related field 3+ years of professional experience in structural drafting using Autodesk Revit Working knowledge of common structural systems (e.g., steel framing, concrete, foundations, masonry) Ability to interpret engineering direction, sketches, and markups Strong attention to detail with a focus on drawing accuracy and consistency Experience supporting commercial, industrial, or specialty facility projects Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Brea, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
