Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Home Plan Drafting, Bidding, and Plan Submission Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise home design plans through auto CAD, preparing competitive bids, and managing the submission process to ensure compliance with building codes and project specifications. Your expertise will help streamline project workflows, enhance accuracy, and support successful project delivery from concept to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative residential projects using advanced CAD and BIM tools, ensuring high-quality standards and efficient communication with clients, contractors, and building officials. Duties Develop detailed home plans using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, or MicroStation, incorporating architectural schematics and construction details. Create accurate 3D models of residential designs utilizing SketchUp, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, or 3ds Max to visualize concepts effectively. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals by analyzing project requirements, estimating costs, and compiling necessary documentation for competitive bidding processes. Submit plans to relevant authorities by ensuring all documentation adheres to local building codes and regulations; coordinate with municipal agencies for plan approval. Collaborate with engineering teams to incorporate mechanical design elements and system layouts into home plans using SolidWorks or other engineering CAD tools. Conduct building code analysis and review schematics to ensure compliance with safety standards and zoning laws. Maintain organized records of all plan submissions, revisions, and correspondence for audit readiness and project tracking. Skills Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks for drafting and modeling tasks. Experience with 3D modeling software such as SketchUp, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, and 3ds Max for visualization purposes. Strong knowledge of building code compliance, construction detail documentation, and schematic development. Ability to perform building information modeling (BIM) using Revit or similar tools to facilitate integrated project workflows. Skilled in construction experience with an understanding of structural systems and interior design principles. Excellent drafting skills combined with a keen eye for detail; capable of producing precise technical drawings. Familiarity with graphic design principles for creating clear presentation materials; experience in system design or 2D animation is a plus.
