Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to join our innovative design team with Giant Containers (a subsidiary of Olenox Industries). We design, engineer, and fabricate innovative steel-framed modular buildings and container structures across the United States and international markets. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with talented professionals and advance your skills in a fast-paced, creative setting. Role Overview & Objectives Based at our Conroe, TX facility, the Architectural Technologist leads drafting, design coordination, and code compliance from initial concept through shop fabrication.
Key objectives include:
Developing accurate, code-compliant modular design packages, permit sets, and fabrication drawings. Coordinating structural, mechanical, and electrical integration with internal teams and external engineers. Supporting sales with conceptual layouts and partnering with production to ensure constructability.
Key Responsibilities Drafting & Design:
Develop detailed construction documents, including drawings, schedules, and specifications, utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit (as an asset).
Code & Engineering:
Ensure designs comply with U.S. building Codes (ICC/IBC) and resolve plan review comments with local authorities.
Cross-Functional Support:
Partner with shop teams to streamline fabrication and maintain document version control across all phases. Qualifications & Asset skills
Requirements:
Degree/Diploma in Architectural Technology with 3+ years of drafting experience and advanced AutoCAD proficiency.
Code Knowledge:
Solid understanding of U.S. building codes (ICC/IBC) and structural detailing.
Assets:

Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
