Houston, TX Job Details Full-time $78,998 - $87,000 a year 8 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Report writing Technical documentation Architecture Master's degree Revit Full Job Description Texas Structural Engineers LLC seeks an Architectural Designer to develop and coordinate architectural designs for residential and commercial projects, including small-scale residential developments such as accessory dwelling units (ADUs) and related site improvements.
Duties include:
Develop architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and details using BIM tools such as Revit. Prepare and manage permit submission packages and coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain approvals for projects across multiple jurisdictions. Perform zoning and building code analysis to ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including land use requirements, setbacks, and development constraints. Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate site conditions, zoning limitations, and development potential. Collaborate with clients, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop design solutions aligned with project scope and regulatory requirements. Utilize parametric and computational design tools, including Rhino and Grasshopper, to analyze design alternatives and optimize building performance, material efficiency, and layout functionality. Apply digital tools and automated workflows to support design development, documentation, and permitting processes. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation related to project design and approvals. Revise architectural plans based on agency comments, client feedback, and construction requirements. Coordinate integration of architectural, structural, and MEP systems within project designs. Minimum Requirements (UNCHANGED) Master's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Design Computing, or closely related field 24 months of experience in architectural design Special Skills (UPDATED

) Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and related design software Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes Experience preparing construction documents and permit application packages Familiarity with zoning regulations and permitting requirements across multiple jurisdictions Familiarity with parametric design tools and computational design workflows Familiarity with digital tools used to support architectural design, documentation, and permitting processes
