The Project Specialist would join our custom development team to provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers while managing all phases of custom projects including digital, rotogravure, acoustical and textile products. The ideal candidate will have experience in interior design and project management with strong organizational skills. This candidate will seek and contribute ways to innovate and evolve our customs process, developing custom solutions and facilitate orders to meet customer needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Source new designs for custom projects, including specs and pricing
  • Facilitate requests for custom projects and/or communicate design requirements to vendors
  • Complete process required for customer transaction
  • Research and answer sales inquiries for custom opportunities
  • Keep abreast of current mill offerings and capabilities
  • Assist with custom related presentations and identify industry design trends
  • Maintain product library and detailed custom files
  • Monitor custom related reports
  • Assist in documenting all customs processes
  • Provide information to customers and/or sales representatives within standard lead times
  • Manage project deadlines/turnaround times and build organizational processes to manage multiple projects/deadlines at once

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in interior design, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and all Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple processes, and procedures simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to read and understand basic architectural plans and elevations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Positive and energetic attitude

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
