Job Description
We are looking for a experienced CAD Designer/Drafter to assist our Senior Drafter. In this role, the CAD Designer/Drafter will work directly with our senior drafter to help bring projects to life efficiently and effectively. Working in partnership with the internal team, the CAD Designer/Drafter will be responsible for managing the project from inception to final delivery, keeping key partners updated on a daily basis. In addition, the CAD Designer/Drafter will be working in AutoCAD to create, modify and release drawings to all stakeholders, including clients, architects and designers. The CAD Designer/Drafter is critical to the success of our business and an integral part of our ability to exceed our customers' expectations via effective communication and daily management of the project plan.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop drawing showing the elevation of homes.
- Participate in initial meetings with home owner to discuss their project.
- Take field measurements and input them into architectural software
- Develop site drawings noting house location on lot
- Develop construction documents for permitting
- Revise architectural plans as marked and thoroughly coordinates all sheets that are affected by any changes
- Interaction with field Team Members for projects under construction
- Ensure established deadlines are met
- Facilitate problem solving with fellow
Team Members and City Coordinators Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in Drafting, Architecture, or a related field
- Knowledge of residential plans and construction drawings preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and or / chief architect software required. REVIT experience is a plus.
- Work well under time constraints
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Service-oriented mindset with a team player attitude
