Job Overview We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Residential/Commercial Drafter to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise and comprehensive technical drawings and schematics for residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help translate architectural concepts into clear, workable plans that guide construction and design processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative building solutions while utilizing advanced drafting software and design tools. Duties Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings for residential and commercial building projects using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, or Rhinoceros 3D. Create schematics, system designs, interior layouts, mechanical components, and construction documents that meet project specifications and building codes. Utilize drafting tools like SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, Bluebeam, and 3ds Max to produce accurate visualizations and presentations. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to interpret design concepts into precise technical drawings. Incorporate graphic design principles to enhance clarity and visual appeal of plans and diagrams. Assist in reviewing project plans for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards before submission. Support the development of interior design layouts, mechanical systems, and system design documentation for various projects. Experience Proven experience in residential or commercial drafting with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, or MicroStation. Familiarity with SketchUp, Bluebeam, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, SolidWorks or similar tools is highly desirable. Knowledge of construction processes, schematic development, interior design principles, mechanical systems design, and system integration. Experience working on complex projects that require detailed schematics and technical documentation. Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and best practices in drafting for construction projects. Ability to interpret architectural drawings into accurate digital models while maintaining attention to detail across multiple disciplines such as graphic design or 2D animation related to visualization tasks.
