Senior Structural Designer | Chesapeake, VA | $90,000-$130,000 Revit | BIM | Structural Design | Construction Documents | Career Growth Ready to step into a senior-level role where your work actually drives projects forward? A growing structural engineering firm in the Chesapeake / Hampton Roads market is looking for a Senior Structural Designer to take ownership of modeling, drafting, and BIM coordination across a strong pipeline of building projects. This is a high-impact role where you'll work directly with engineers and leadership, not just push redlines.

Consistent pipeline of building design projects Step into a senior position with real ownership Work directly with engineers and decision-makers Clear path toward BIM Lead / Design Leadership Stable, growing firm with long-term opportunity What you'll be doing: Lead development of structural Revit models and drawings Produce plans, sections, elevations, and detailed construction documents Coordinate closely with engineers to translate design into deliverables Manage BIM coordination with architectural and MEP teams Review markups, implement revisions, and maintain drawing quality Help maintain and improve BIM standards, templates, and workflows Support multiple projects while keeping quality and deadlines tight What they're looking for: 5-10+ years of experience in structural drafting / design Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit Strong background in building structures (concrete, steel, wood) Experience leading projects or mentoring junior technicians is a plus Solid understanding of construction documents and coordination Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
Compensation & Benefits:
