Civil Project Engineer II/III - Structure & Bridge Design

Job DescriptionTimmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Structures and Bridge Design Group in Richmond, VA. This is a great opportunity to work on routine and complex structures including bridge, building, renewable energy and ancillary structure designs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

Perform rehabilitation designs for bridges and buildingsConduct bridge load ratings and evaluationsSupport project planning including scope, schedule, and budget developmentAssist in project and task managementContribute to marketing efforts and proposal developmentSkills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)2+ years of experience in structural and/or bridge designPE License is a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with

AASHTO LRFD

Bridge Design Specifications, AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation, and NCDOT standardsProficiency in structural design softwareExperience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD for plan developmentNBIS bridge inspection certification is a plusAdditional InformationThe requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
