Job Description Insight Global is supporting a leading company within the HVAC and piping industry in the search for a Revit Designer to support its Manufacturing Group. This individual will play a critical role to annotating and supporting the designs of several ongoing capital projects. This is a production focused

BIM / MEP

Detailer responsible for modeling plumbing and piping systems exactly as they will be fabricated and installed in the field. The role sits between engineering and construction and directly impacts clashes, RFIs, fabrication accuracy, cost, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Provide drafting/modeling support for the Engineering and VCS departments as needed.
•  Capable of reading contract drawings for reference.
•  Modeling of plumbing/piping systems per contract documents.
•  Annotate and prepare shop drawings for A/E review through IFC to make available to the PM team.
•  Experienced in clash avoidance modeling.
•  Experienced in identifying issues that will result in generating an RFI.
•  Knowledge of state plumbing/piping codes for constructible modeling.
•  Capable of generating spools/BOMs/ISOs utilizing all software within the manufacturing department.

•  3-5+ years of trades detailing experience
•  Hands on Revit experience or 2-3 years of AutoCAD experience
•  Plumbing and/or piping modeling experience
•  Navisworks experience
•  Can read construction drawings, specs, and P&IDs
•  Has produced shop drawings
•  Understands coordination issues and RFIs
