Job Description
Drafter - Civil Engineering Overview We are seeking a detail‑oriented Drafter to support our Civil Engineering team on industrial and commercial development projects . This role focuses on producing accurate, high‑quality construction documents using Civil 3D , along with conducting site walks to verify existing conditions and ensure drawings reflect real‑world field conditions. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technical drafting, collaboration with engineers, and seeing projects progress from concept through construction. Key Responsibilities Collaborate closely with Civil Engineers to develop detailed plans for industrial and commercial site development projects Produce accurate, well‑organized construction documents using Civil 3D and AutoCAD Assist with design tasks related to grading, utilities, drainage, and site layout Conduct site walks to gather field data, verify existing conditions, and support design accuracy Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and project specifications Incorporate redlines, revisions, and design updates efficiently throughout the project lifecycle Required Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required Strong drafting and design skills with excellent attention to detail Working knowledge of grading, site design, and civil plan production Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and technical specifications Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Preferred Skills Experience supporting industrial or commercial development projects Familiarity with civil engineering workflows, permitting processes, and construction documentation Prior experience working in a consulting or engineering firm environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
