$80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Residential Architect Designer to join our innovative remodeling company. In this role, you will work with the Senior Designer in residential renovation projects, transforming client visions into functional, beautiful spaces. Responsibilities Conduct site visits for field measurements and design intake. Collaborate with the Senior Designer to develop efficient and functional floor plans. Present designs to clients professionally. This means having a well-prepared design that is easy for clients to digest at the ready while dressed professionally for design reveals. Prepare documents for permitting. Having the ability to independently take a project from design contract to approved permit. Ability to discuss and advocate for a project during plan review to achieve permitting in a timely manner. Ability to hand off projects seamlessly from Estimators to Project Managers. Ability to communicate with crews when necessary to ensure that design standards are maintained (eg: tile pattern, placement of features, layout of cabinets, layout of countertops to ensure good design principles are maintained and that the main design features are protected) Fluency with design software and ability to quickly learn new software and skills. Fluency in Chief Architect or similar. Professional communication with clients. Accepting client feedback on a design and redesigning the space to fit their needs and critiques. Skills Proficiency in Chief Architect Strong knowledge of construction processes including renovation techniques and interior design principles Experience with project scheduling tools and construction management software Excellent communication skills with clients and contractors Ability to create designs that fit the budgets effectively Skilled in drafting detailed plans, sections, elevations, and 3D visualizations for residential projects Familiarity with building codes
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor's degree 8+ years of relevant experience in residential design Proficiency in design software of Chief Architect Why Join Us?
