Learn more at centerlineusa.com. About the Role We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Design Director to lead the creation and coordination of technical drawings and design documentation. This role ensures that all designs meet specifications, architectural intent, and code compliance, while supporting project teams from concept through fabrication and installation. As Design Director, you will collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and internal design staff to produce high-quality technical drawings that drive project success. This position is ideal for a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading design efforts across multiple projects. Key Responsibilities Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics based on project specifications Coordinate the completion of shop drawings, engineering calculations, and fabrication drawings between vendors, staff, project managers, and customers Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar) to develop precise technical drawings and layouts Revise and update drawings to incorporate feedback, design changes, or new project requirements Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure all drawings align with project vision, specifications, and compliance standards Review and verify accuracy of drawings and designs, ensuring compliance with safety standards and codes Provide drafting support throughout all project phases, from concept development to final completion Use field measurements and/or 3D laser scanning data to create fabrication drawings for production Maintain organized records of drawing files, revisions, and project documentation Communicate project status updates to management, colleagues, customers, and vendors Qualifications & Skills Minimum 10 years' experience in the building industry; licensed architect and/or engineer preferred Expert-level experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar design software Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Exceptional attention to detail with ability to produce highly accurate and precise drawings Ability to identify design or specification issues and provide effective solutions Comfortable managing multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment Professional, proactive, dependable, and team-oriented mindset Work Environment & Schedule Full-time (40+ hours per week) Monday-Friday schedule (excluding major holidays) Office hours typically between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (some flexibility available) What Makes You a Great Fit Self-motivated and highly organized Positive, professional, and collaborative approach Detail-driven and thorough technical design work Able to balance leadership, technical accuracy, and project management Thrives in a dynamic, continuously evolving environment •Compensation is flexible and could increase based on experience, qualifications, and fit
