Senior Engineering Technician

SUMMARY

Engineering Technicians are in a hands-on work environment performing a variety of tasks to support the engineering, manufacturing and production teams. Daily responsibilities may include test set up, mechanical assembly, receiving support, production, packaging and shipping. The Senior Engineering Technician reports to the Technician Supervisor.

WHAT YOU WILL

DOPerforms and oversees mechanical assembly according to verbal and written instructionsSupports engineering testing, manufacturing effortsReads and understands blueprints, schematics and technical diagramsPerforms test planning and execution: test design and analysis; writing procedures, test plans, and data collectionPossesses a good understanding of all aspects of environmental testingAssists with packaging and shipping of hardware and equipmentSafely uses chemicals, adhesives, and solvents as requiredObserves safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditionsWorks effectively with teams of engineers and techniciansInteracts with technical staff for proposal development and project performanceDemonstrates leadership and provides guidance to more junior Engineering Technicians

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING

FORRequired Education:

High School diploma

Preferred Education:

Associates Degree or higher

Required Experience:

Strong proficiency with basic hand and power tools, excellent mechanical aptitude, experience with test data acquisition and instrumentation

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge of military and commercial industry specificationsTypically possesses: 8+ years experience in aerospace, defense experience, or manufacturing environmentsDemonstrated team or project leadership experience preferredPossesses strong computer background and familiarity with common office applicationsDemonstrates passion for the aerospace and defense industry, and strong desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environmentDemonstrates an exceptional work ethic and attitudePhysical requirements of this position include moderate physical and repetitious work, standing for extended periods of time, the use of stairs and occasional heavy liftingMust be a U.S. Citizen
