Full Job Description Job Description:
In your role as an Avenger Technician , you will support the AMCOM Field Maintenance Activity team at Redstone Arsenal and various U.S. Army and DoD locations. Travel is approximately 25-50% . Using your knowledge of the Avenger ADA system, SHORAD, and related ground-based weapon systems , you will perform inspections, functional testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with technical manuals, work instructions, wiring diagrams, schematics, and approved inspection forms. You may also support
IAMD/SHORAD
testing, training, and other operational activities. You will assist the Team Lead with work planning, maintenance documentation, and production reporting while supporting National Guard Bureau and other FMA requirements.
Primary duties include:
Inspecting and maintaining Avenger ADA and related SHORAD systems. Performing Functional Tests, Visual Inspections, and Technical Inspections. Performing scheduled and unscheduled operator, field, and sustainment-level maintenance. Troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems. Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. Supporting system testing, training, and other field activities. Operating Army/DoD tactical vehicles and associated equipment when qualified. Documenting inspections, repairs, maintenance actions, and equipment status. Traveling to customer locations and DoD test sites as required. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. At least 3 years of experience in a related SHORAD, ground-based weapon system, or military maintenance MOS , or 2 years of related technical trade experience . Experience with Avenger, SHORAD, IAMD, or similar ground-based weapon systems. Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Must possess a Secret Security Clearance . Must possess a CDL or have the ability to obtain one. Ability to travel 25-50%. Ability to work independently and follow technical instructions. Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
