Technicians and gain ALARNG membership, all current federal employees, all U.S. Citizens Duties Help 1. Performs operional checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting on electronic integred systems composed of a number of sensor subsystems: Integred Vehicle Health Management System (IVHMS), the Common Missile Warning System (CMWS), the Improved Countermeasure Dispenser System (ICMD), the Night Vision Goggle System (NVG), the Air Da Subsystem, the Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) and Doppler/GPS Navigion System (DGNS), Command Instrument Set (CIS) ; a logic subsystem
  • the Multiplex Da Bus System (MUX), the Multiplex Remote Terminal Units (MRTU), Da Link Terminal Units (DLTU), and Digital Automic Flight Control System (DAFCS); and actuing subsystems
  • , and the Digital Automic Stabilizion System (DASS), which includes the Stability Augmention System (SAS) and Command Augmention System (CAS) and Hover Augmention System (HAS).
2. Completes operional checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting of Line Replaceable Units (LRU). Isoles unusual malfunctions using technical manuals, schemics, and wiring diagrams, tools and test equipment including automic test equipment. Solves problems by analyzing installion, circuitry, and opering characteristics of the systems. Adjusts and aligns sensors, transmitters, amplifiers, power supplies, display devices, controls, actuors, servos, computers and other reled components. Removes faulty LRUs for shop repair. Installs serviceable components into aircraft and performs total systems alignments in accordance with existing technical manuals and directives. Accomplishes technical manual compliance and modificion of components and systems and completes systems checkout for proper operion. Maintains, modifies, calibres and inspects a wide variety of user test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). 3. Completes bench check, testing, repair, inspection, modificion, programming, reprogramming, ming, adjusting, alignment, and analyzing of LRUs and shop replaceable units. Uses a variety of test equipment such as automic test equipment (ATE), oscilloscopes, DTA computer, multi-meters, power-meters, and special purpose bench test sets. Tests and troubleshoots solid ste electronic assemblies and subassemblies such as circuit cards, modules, re gyros, electronic control amplifiers, electro-mechanical assemblies, random access memories, programmable read-only memories and various integred circuits. Identifies faulty parts and repairs to level authorized. Ensures and certifies operional integrity of various night vision systems, and electro-optical components. Reassembles unit after repair, performs alignment and makes shop checks. 4. Recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical da, and maintenance procedures by reporting hardware and software malfunctions, inities merial deficiency reports both on equipment and in technical da, and assists in design changes as necessary. Conducts debriefing of aircrews to determine the nure of system malfunctions, then documents all maintenance performed and records informion reled to the system, LRU's, or shop repairable units on both aircraft and historical records. 5. When designed on NGB Flying Stus Orders, serves as member of flight crew for the purpose of diagnosing and recording malfunctions, or otherwise determining maintenance and repair requirements. 6. Guides lower level mechanics in the performance of duties. Conducts on-the-job training on assigned systems and reled support equipment and tasks to include classroom instruction as necessary. 7. Processes and accounts for due-in supply assets. Ensures th merial and equipment are properly stored, protected and maintained and th funds are not obliged for merial or parts without proper justificion. 8. Prepares for and participes in various types of readiness evaluions such as Operional Readiness Evaluions (ORE), Command Logistics Readiness Inspections (CLRT-X), and Aviion Resource Management Surveys. May be required to perform additional duties such as structural firefighting, aircraft handling, heavy equipment operion, and maintenance of facilities and equipment, or serve as a member of a team to cope with nural disasters or civil emergencies. : To qualify an applicant for one of the FWS Series 2610 ARNG Dual Stus Technician positions, apply and evalue the applicant's competencies, military and civilian experiences, completed educion, learned skills, obtained knowledge, endorsed abilities, and training program accomplishments. The following seven basic qualificion factors are applicable to the FWS ANG Dual Stus Technician positions:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Must have least 24 months of skill, knowledge, and abilities of the

work the Electronics Branch of an Army Aviion Support Facility (AASF), Army Aviion Flight Activity (AAFA), or There Aviion Sustainment Maintenance Group (TASMG). Must have competencies in performing electronic integred systems work activities on Army Nional Guard helicopters such as, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, calibring, aligning, and maintaining these systems. Accomplished in following technical manual compliance and modificion of components and systems; and, and skilled in completing systems checks for proper operions. Skilled in maintaining, modifying, calibring and inspecting a wide variety of user tests, measurements, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Skilled in completing bench checks, testing, repairs, inspections, modificions, programming, reprogramming, ming, adjusting, alignments, and analyzing of LRUs and shop replaceable units. Experienced in using a variety of test equipment such as, automic test equipment (ATE), oscilloscopes, DTA computer, multi-meters, power-meters, and special purpose bench test sets. Competent to test and troubleshoot solid ste electronic assemblies and subassemblies such as, circuit cards, modules, re gyros, electronic control amplifiers, electro-mechanical assemblies, random access memories, programmable read-only memories and various integred circuits. SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
  • Ability to apply electronic theories and practices to identify, isole and repair malfunctions in one or more complex integred systems where knowledge of the entire system is necessary to interpret error da and trace back through a number of units of the system to loce deficiencies.
  • -Thorough knowledge of the principles of digital and analog circuits, electro-mechanical devices, solid ste devices theory, digital techniques, synchro/servo operion and integred circuit theory.
  • Ability to interpret and trace schemic, logic and wiring diagrams and use a wide variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Ability to perform algebraic and trigonometric formulas to solve work-reled problems.
  • Current certificion in high reliability soldering techniques, as well as electrostic discharge protective techniques.
  • Knowledge of the Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) and other automed programs, publicions or directives as may be applicable to the function.
