Overview Join our dynamic team as a Broadband Installer and be at the forefront of connecting communities! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-speed internet services, ensuring seamless connectivity for residential and commercial customers. Your expertise will help deliver reliable network solutions that keep people connected and powered up. Responsibilities Install fiber optic cables, Ethernet wiring, telephony systems, and low voltage cabling to establish robust network connections. Perform fiber splicing and network installation tasks with precision to ensure optimal performance. Set up and configure Cisco routers, switches, and other networking equipment according to specifications. Conduct field service activities including troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and repairing network components on-site. Use hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, and ohmmeters to complete installations and repairs efficiently. Apply mechanical knowledge to mount equipment securely and manage cable management for neatness and safety. Follow safety protocols related to telecommunication work environments and electrical systems during all tasks. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or field installer within telecommunications or networking industries. Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, telephony systems, and low voltage wiring. Skilled in fiber splicing techniques with the ability to handle delicate optical fibers accurately. Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and basic network configuration. Hands-on experience with cabling installation, mechanical mounting, and electrical troubleshooting. Ability to operate hand tools effectively and safely in various field environments.
