POSITION SUMMARY
Performs all duties associated with the delivery of sterilized surgical instrumentation and the disinfection of medical devices for use in patient care areas. These duties require achieving competencies in decontamination, prep and packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution. Supports services in patient care areas by promoting highest quality reprocessing. Assembles case carts and supplies for Perioperative Services. Restocks and issues specialty carts, crash carts and issues requisitioned medical devices throughout
EAMC. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent Minimum Experience N/A Required Registration/License/Certification Certification through CBSPD or
IAHCSMM/HSPA.
Preferred Education N/A Preferred Experience 5 years' experience as a Certified Instrument Tech II Preferred Registration/License/Certification CSPDT or CRCST Other Requirements Advance knowledge of surgical instruments, their uses, location and appropriate substitutions.
