RTU Technician

Install, configure, and test RTUs for electric utility substations. Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, control wiring, and communication networks. Work with DNP3, Modbus, and
IEC 61850 SCADA
communication protocols. Interpret and update engineering drawings, including one-line and three-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control schematics. Use configuration software (such as SEL and GE RTU tools) to implement control logic and settings. Coordinate with engineers and project managers to support commissioning and field-testing activities. What do you bring?
Experience:
5+ years in electrical or controls systems work within the power industry or related fields.
Education:
Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Controls, or a related discipline (equivalent experience may substitute). Strong understanding of electrical drawings, RTU wiring, and control circuit troubleshooting. Are you Interested?
