Job Description

The Field Technician plays a vital role in the overall success of LEFORT in North America. The Field Technician must possess a knowledge of heavy industrial or construction equipment maintenance and repair, the skills necessary to ensure efficient shop operations and a continuous improvement mindset. Responsibilities (but not limited to) : The Field Technician is responsible for performing service and support activities associated with the shop, including field support activities. In certain circumstances, may be required to supervise third-party contractors. Exemplify our Corporate Values of Integrity, Customer Focus, Accountability and Teamwork. Collaborate with team members as required to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction, employee engagement and profitability. Participate in regular meetings to coordinate activities, provide guidance, and gather information. Manage own workflow to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction and shop efficiency. Perform service, repair and reconditioning of machines and components. Perform new and used equipment inspection & service. Read and understand schematic diagrams. Properly utilize the work order process from opening jobs through job completion. Consistently observe all safe work rules and company policies. Ensure all Company, Customer, and OSHA rules and regulations are followed on all jobs. Place high priority on developing and maintaining long-standing professional relationships with new and existing customers.
Education/Qualification/Experience :
Degree or Trade School completion in Mechanical discipline, or a minimum of five years' experience in industrial equipment service and repair. Experience in Microsoft Office products to include Excel is a plus. Working knowledge of ERP. Ability to weld is a plus. Knowledge of French is a plus.
Other Qualifications:
Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in service. Excellent communication skills. Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills. Relationship management skills and openness to feedback. Exceptional customer service skills. Autonomous and proactive. Willingness to be flexible in scheduling. Willing and able to work out of doors and in remote locations under various weather conditions. Willingness and ability to travel internationally is a plus.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
