Full Job Description Company Profile:
Thunderbird Equipment Service is an independent coffee equipment repair company serving the Phoenix metropolitan area. We are searching for a highly motivated, customer service oriented, and technically savvy individual to join our team. The Coffee Equipment Technician - In Shop position will support shop based and occasional in-field repair of espresso equipment, water filtration systems, and coffee roasting equipment. We are a fast paced company experiencing tremendous growth and looking for the right individuals to join our team.
In-Shop responsibilities include:
Diagnosis and repair of residential and commercial espresso and coffee brewing equipment Ordering, restocking and inventory of parts, intake of residential machines, interfacing with residential customers General upkeep and cleanliness of the shop and customer areas Answering phones and entering service dispatches
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a coffee equipment technician is not required but preferred High school diploma (technical degree or certification preferred) 2 years of high stress or high volume customer service experience 1 year minimum of hands on equipment maintenance or 1 year of Barista experience Ability to interpret technical documents General mechanical aptitude Ability to use hand tools, including multimeters and other electrical testing equipment Understanding of electrical theory Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong troubleshooting skills Ability to prioritize multiple work streams Clean driving record
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 75lbs minimum Ability to stand, turn, lift, and squat in a compact retail environment up to 90% of the day
