Job Description

Overview This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, installing and upgrading our High-Speed automated equipment (mechanical, electrical and electronic systems) and related equipment that will be utilized in our Tucson Rain Bird facility. In addition to troubleshooting, the technician will design and service control systems ranging from electromechanical devices and systems to high-speed robotics and PLCs. These types of systems include robotic assembly devices, electronic sensors, vision systems, conveyors, electrical distribution systems, and building automation systems. Responsibilities
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates and/or trains machine operators in the use of automated machines Identify and implement manufacturing process improvement opportunities for quality, delivery performance and throughput Manage multiple assignments/projects simultaneously and in a timely manner Ensure effective use of continuous improvement tools to prevent future or recurring failures of equipment, and injuries or incidents Participate actively in all 5S and Safety activities Qualifications A.S. Degree in Electromechanical Technology 5+ years of relevant professional experience Understanding of drawings and schematics (mechanical, electrical & hydraulic). Proficient in PLC troubleshooting/debugging Strong problem-solving skills Working knowledge of industry Safety practices and OSHA guidelines Working knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word Excellent written and verbal communication skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Reliability centered and condition-based maintenance experience Managing or leading a crew to achieve company or production goals Applied experience with Allen-Bradley PLC Control systems Familiar with CMMS such as MP2 or similar maintenance programs for manufacturing equipment Rain Bird is an equal opportunity employer.
