Requirements:

Minimum Requirement:

Minimum education requirement is high school diploma, experience in a lab environment (corporate or school) or technician experience in a regulated environment for a minimum of 4-6 years, experience following written procedures and working collaboratively with a teamPreferred requirement: Bachelor of Science in a technical area and at least 1-2 year of experience in a laboratory/R D setting following written procedures and working collaboratively with a team.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures
• The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group and communicate effectively with the lab team and extended team members
• Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope
• Proficiency in personal computers
• Ability to train lower-level technicians

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering document, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams and schematics)
• Prepares reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis
• Provides completion of technical tasks.
• Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
• Helps scope equipment for use and complete qualifications
• Works with team to on general lab functions, including calibration, implementation of safety procedures, and routine equipment maintenance
• Notifies manager or team lead upon recognition of factors that may affect project
• Helps develop prototype processes and test set-ups
• Executes designed test protocol and conducts testing
• Effectively documents and communicates test results
• Handles test samples and chemicals used for conditioning and testing
