Job Description

This role is part of a collaborative team of approximately 12 engineers and technicians supporting the design, build, and validation of complex electro‑mechanical and motion‑control systems. This position is more electrically focused (approximately 60% electrical / 40% mechanical) and will support engineering development efforts through hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, and prototype support. You will work closely with engineers to execute test plans, diagnose system‑level issues, and collect data that supports design decisions across the product development lifecycle. Key responsibilities include building and modifying electrical and electro‑mechanical prototypes, supporting robotic and automated system development, and troubleshooting electrical, motion‑control, and mechanical subsystems. You will routinely read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation, and use diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and other instrumentation to identify and resolve issues. This role operates on a Monday-Friday schedule, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with potential for overtime, and is well‑suited for a hands‑on technician who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, engineering‑driven NPD environment. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience Associate's (AA) degree in a technical field (electronics or related discipline preferred) 4-6 years of hands‑on technician experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment Strong electrical troubleshooting experience supporting engineering development and testing Extensive experience using test and diagnostic equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and other instrumentation tools Hands‑on experience with electronics and cable assemblies, including prototyping and cable builds Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation Experience supporting engineering teams with testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities Comfortable working in a role that is approximately 60% electrical and 40% mechanical Nice to Have Skills & Experience Experience with Altium or similar electrical design software Familiarity with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD tools Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping Exposure to capital equipment, robotics, automation, or motion‑control system environments Background supporting electro‑mechanical system design or development teams
