Technician (Technician II or Sr. Technician)#26-00955 Chino, CA
Onsite Job Description Responsibilities:
Test Vehicle Management Support test vehicle fleet management Complete routine maintenance of
EV, HEV, PHEV & FCEV
vehicles Work with engineers to replace and update test vehicle hardware and software as needed Test Vehicle Instrumentation and Testing Installation of sensors various sensors such as high voltage probes, current sensors, thermocouples, and data acquisition system Basic performance testing, measurement, and data analysis for proving ground and on-road test activities, including towing Test in extreme environment conditions (extreme cold, hot, and high elevation) Equipment and Shop Organization Maintain records of all team inventory, equipment calibration / maintenance Organize, purchase, update shop tools, consumables, and parts as needed
Requirements:
6~10 years of automotive technician experience working on electrified powertrain vehicles. Understands components, principles, and operation of EV, HEV, PHEV, and FCEV vehicles. Experience working on high voltage batteries and safety requirements. Proficient in creating documents, emails, and reports in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects / tasks simultaneously. Must be willing to travel for up to 20% on trips of up to 2 weeks in duration. Valid Driver's License and satisfactory Driving Record. Candidates applying for positions with Client must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred:
Experience in an R D lab environment is highly desired. Background in prototype vehicle on-road testing and performance measurement desired.
