The company also excels in many other types of reinforced plastics including interior sandwich panels for creating structures such as aircraft galleys and bulkheads, honeycomb core and related products. The Gill Corporation is seeking a Calibration Technician to perform all calibration activities for TGC equipment. The technician will maintain, test, inspect, and calibrate various equipment to ensure it is in good working order. They will create calibration purchase order requests and be main point of contact for all 3rd party calibration providers. They will also have main responsibility for maintaining the master calibration list. Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, they will perform but not be limited to the following responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Tests, inspects, and calibrates equipment per GOS 7.6 to ensure it is in good working order; Maintains a recall system for the calibration of all equipment used in verifying product quality requirements; Create purchase order requests through the ERP (SAP) system for 3rd party calibrators; Schedule and send out equipment to 3rd party calibration providers; Schedule and host 3rd party calibration providers; Review and disposition (accept or return) calibration certificates received from vendors; Work with all production and support departments (such as Operation Engineering, R D, and Maintenance) to schedule calibration with minimal disruptions to production schedules; Support internal and external audits with respect to calibration activities at TGC. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required Qualifications:
High school Diploma or GED; some college or technical training preferred; Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Quality Technician capacity, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industry, with general understanding of basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, temperature sensors, balances, and pressure gauges. Computer knowledge on word processing and spread sheets;
Language Skills:
English; Ability to comfortably multitask with minimal supervision; Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing; Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs
