This is a Temporary Position•Monday through Friday 8am-5pm Work with blueprints, templates, sample parts, and process sheets. Assist in the preparation of molds and forms. Route, drill, trim, and sand parts to blueprint dimensions and tolerances. Prepare surfaces and paint composite components. Apply spray coatings using a high-volume low-pressure spray gun. Mix and pour epoxy resins into molds for transformer coils and components, ensuring proper degassing and vacuum pressure. Inspect finished castings for defects, such as voids or cracks, ensuring compliance with design specifications Assist in the development of shop aids for fabrication, trimming, and assembly. Maintain quality control records and ensure a clean and organized work area. Adhere to all safety regulations and operating procedures. Qualifications Familiarity with composites, manufacturing, layup, lamination, and blueprints. Experience with vacuum bagging/mold casting, fabrication, prepreg, and carbon fiber. Proficiency in using hand tools like hand drills, scissors, and electric heat guns. Experience with measuring instruments such as scales, calipers.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Respirator certification may be required. Ability to work extended hours and lift assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs. At TAE Technologies, we consider a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and job-related knowledge, training; licenses and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements depending on the position offered (non-Sr., Sr., Lead or Manager).
