What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a skilled Installation Controls Technician with a focus on controls and low voltage systems for our EPC project team. This role is to expedited construction and utility systems that support manufacturing tools. Work closely with system experts to install building automation system instrumentation and controls in a state-of-the-art 24-hr manufacturing facility. What You'll Do
Install, and maintain panel integration, including PLCs, VFDs, RIOs
Install control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment and troubleshoot process control systems (control valves, flow meters, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, actuators, leak switches
Install and field route instrumentation and Controls raceways, basket tray, and various electrical classifications, Equipment for this task may include manual/hydraulic benders and ladders/lift equipment
Work with low voltage systems such as building automation, security, and data communication networks including Cat6A, Fiber and raceways
Execute a wide variety of low voltage electrical tasks and provide timely feedback What You'll Bring
3+ years of experience specializing in low voltage and controls
Working knowledge of networking and telecommunication wiring
Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems from 24VDC to 480VAC
Strong knowledge in motor controls, drives, and electronic components
Proficiency in sizing conductors and conduits and using the NEC Code Book
Experience on Life Safety Systems (HAZMAT)
Technical Degree or Trade School in Instrumentation or Licensed Journeyman preferred Compensation and Benefits

Expected Compensation
$28.80 - $54.63/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
