Job Description

Job Overview The Repair Station Technician inspects, diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs, and tests aerospace electronic and electro-mechanical equipment in accordance with FAA Part 145 requirements, company procedures, and applicable quality standards. This position performs component-level fault isolation, root cause analysis, repair, and functional testing to ensure airworthy products are returned to service safely, accurately, and on schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair aerospace electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies to the component level. Perform root cause analysis and document findings, corrective actions, and repair results. Conduct incoming inspections and evaluate equipment for repairability. Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation. Perform soldering, component replacement, rework, and modification activities in accordance with approved procedures and industry standards. Use electronic test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other diagnostic tools, to verify functionality and troubleshoot failures. Conduct functional testing, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), and final verification testing following repair activities. Prepare and maintain accurate repair records, inspection reports, test data, and repair analysis reports. Apply required identification labels, markings, and documentation to repaired products. Maintain compliance with FAA Part 145 requirements, company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements. Meet production schedules and repair turnaround objectives established by the Repair Station Manager. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, reliability, and process efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-free work area. Work overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed to support business requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum four (4) years of experience in electronics repair, electro-mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, testing, or related technical work. Ability to read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Experience using electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and soldering equipment. Ability to perform component-level troubleshooting and repair. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Avionics, or a related field. Experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station. Knowledge of FAA and EASA repair station requirements. Military or commercial avionics repair experience. FAA Repairman Certificate.

Familiarity with AS9100 quality management systems. Experience supporting regulated aerospace manufacturing or repair operations. Physical Demands and Work Environment Work is performed in a repair station and electronics assembly environment with moderate noise levels. Frequently sit for extended periods while diagnosing, testing, and repairing equipment. Regularly use hands and fingers to manipulate small electronic components and assemblies. Demonstrate sufficient visual acuity to inspect parts and distinguish color-coded wires, markings, and electronic components. Frequently bend, stoop, twist, and reach while handling materials and equipment. Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance. Consistently comply with company safety, quality, and attendance requirements. Compensation $30.00 - $40.00 per hour Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, certifications, skills, and business needs.
