Full Job Description Description:
Position Summary The Engineering Technician supports the research, development, testing, validation, and production of centrifugal compressor technologies for automotive, powersports, aerospace, and industrial applications. This role combines hands-on laboratory and shop work with engineering documentation, testing, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration from prototype through production.
Requirements:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Support prototype development, testing, validation, and product releases. Assemble, instrument, troubleshoot, and test mechanical and electrical systems. Operate laboratory and shop equipment safely, including measuring instruments, soldering equipment, power tools, and test equipment. Prepare and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), work instructions, technical reports, and engineering documentation. Collect, analyze, and communicate test data and engineering results. Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Supply Chain. Maintain laboratory organization, equipment calibration, tooling, and inventory. Promote a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment. Required Qualifications BS in Engineering or related field with 1-2 years of experience, or High School Diploma with 3-5 years of applicable industry experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge. Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering collaboration tools. Excellent technical communication, organization, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience in aerospace, motorsports, or hardware manufacturing. Working knowledge of ERP/PLM systems and SolidWorks. Experience with advanced fabrication, environmental testing, IPC standards, or ISO/QMS systems.
