Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Engineering Test Technician 2's for a contract opportunity in Oxnard, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): o High School diploma or equivalent and 2 year's additional education and/or related experience. o 2+ years overall experience as a technician in the manufacturing/engineering field. o Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. o Experience working with a Microsoft Office product and process documentation. o Experience working in Cleanroom Environment and Environmental Test Area. o Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed. o Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time. o Ability to manipulate equipment weighting up to 50 pounds.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
o Provide test and technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. o Execute comprehensive component and system level test plans, procedures and test events. o Participate in test planning and test readiness reviews. o Analyze measurement requirements and equipment measurement tolerances. o Define and maintain documented best practices for test processes and equipment. o Contribute to maintaining and improving test equipment and infrastructure. o Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such component and systems level test results and engineering design changes. o Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis. o Maintains engineering documentation and reports (procedures and test reports). o Support internal and external customers' needs. o Identify, troubleshoot and solve test problems and provide assistance to manufacturing, inspection and test engineering related issues. o Analyze data and provide reports in a variety of customers' format. o Must be able to support working multiple shifts; ie: 1st shift 7am to 4:45pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight. o Ability to travel between the Oxnard, CA, and Goleta, CA sites and travel to support customers, and needed, approximately 10%.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
(DESIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): o Familiarity with working around delicate spacecraft hardware an advantage. o Certification in engineering disciplines. o Some college preferred.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
High School Diploma/GED is required. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS
9/80 workweek. Must be able to support working multiple shifts; ie: 1st shift 7am to 4:45pm and 2nd shift 2:30pm to Midnight.
