Job Summary:
- General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc.
(GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for providing technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats and compiles technical data such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Manipulates and may produce engineering documentation, reports and drawings such as flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics. Provides preliminary analyses of data or documentation where guidelines are provided in such areas as statistical analysis and model dimensional consistency and accuracy. Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas. Develops and analyses a variety of documentation and reports as required. Conducts tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Presents findings. + Provides preliminary analyses of data or documentation where guidelines are provided in such areas as statistical analysis and model dimensional consistency and accuracy. + Conducts tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis. + May act as lead and provide direction to less experienced staff. + Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. + Expected to maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices +

Job Qualifications:
- + Typically requires an associate's degree in engineering or related technical field and three years of related experience.
Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education. + Must demonstrate considerable knowledge of engineering principles, theories and concepts. + Must possess: + The ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work with minimal supervision. + The ability to read, interpret, manipulate and design blueprints, drawings and other engineering documentation. + Strong organization skills. + The ability to identify issues, interpret data and present findings. + Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, assess situations and make judgments. + Strong knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the field. + Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
