The role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable execution of NAND device testing activities while supporting product development schedules, equipment uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lab Operations & Safety Follow all laboratory safety procedures and protocols. Support routine safety audits and inspections. Manage hazardous materials and chemical inventories in compliance with site, local, and state regulations. Maintain a safe working environment for all lab personnel. Test Equipment Operations Operate and support: Advantest M67xxAD Automated Handlers Advantest Memory Testers (B6700, V93K, T5835) Teradyne Nextest Magnum Testers Configure automated test systems and handlers for device testing. Set up temperature-controlled testing environments. Install and utilize Change Kits and Device Specific Adapters (DSAs). Equipment Troubleshooting & Maintenance Troubleshoot Advantest handler pick-and-place issues with minimal supervision. Diagnose hardware and software problems on tester platforms. Execute tester diagnostics and analyze failures down to board level. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and thermal calibrations. Conduct voltage and timing calibrations according to OEM specifications. Maintain tester chiller systems and chilled water distribution systems. Technical Documentation Create and maintain technical documentation including: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Process flow charts Troubleshooting guides Work instructions Semiconductor Test Engineering Support Understand semiconductor memory tester architecture. Configure tester hardware based on testing requirements. Support NAND memory product development and qualification activities. Collect and analyze test data to meet project schedules. Reliability & Performance Monitoring Apply Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) metrics. Monitor equipment performance and uptime. Generate internal and external performance reports. Track and improve overall equipment effectiveness. Inventory & Workflow Management Manage test interface hardware inventory. Track Change Kits, DSAs, and tooling. Utilize lab workflow systems to monitor material movement from receipt through completion. Support forecasting and budgeting activities with management and finance teams. Training & Continuous Improvement Train engineers and lab users on test equipment and tooling. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Demonstrate proactive problem-solving and decision-making. Required Technical Skills Semiconductor test equipment operation and troubleshooting. NAND memory testing experience. Advantest Handlers (M67xx Series). Advantest Testers (B6700, V93K, T5835). Teradyne Nextest Magnum Testers. Tester calibration and diagnostics. Preventive maintenance and thermal calibration. Semiconductor tester architecture knowledge. Inventory management systems. Technical documentation development. Hardware and software troubleshooting.
