Position Summary:
Electrician Lab Assistant The Electrician Lab Assistant will assist instructors in preparing and conducting laboratory sessions, providing hands-on training to students, and ensuring the proper maintenance of lab equipment and facilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist instructors in setting up laboratory experiments and demonstrations for electrician courses. Provide guidance and supervision to students during lab sessions, ensuring their safety and adherence to lab protocols. Demonstrate proper techniques and procedures related to electrician equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Assist in maintaining an organized and clean lab environment, including equipment calibration, inventory management, and safety inspections. Collaborate with instructors to develop and update lab materials, manuals, and procedures as needed. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs or coordinate with technical support for maintenance and repairs. Keep abreast of industry developments, technological advancements, and safety regulations related to electrical systems. Other duties as assigned.Requirements:
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent Associate degree or technical certification in Electrician Training or related field preferred Previous experience working in the electrical field is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively instruct and assist students. Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining lab equipment and facilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with software and tools. Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.Benefits
