We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Repair Technician to join our growing service team. Position Summary We are looking for a highly skilled Fire Alarm Repair Technician with strong troubleshooting abilities and a passion for solving complex system issues. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience diagnosing, repairing, and restoring fire alarm systems while maintaining excellent customer service and professionalism. This position is best suited for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting over installation and has a solid understanding of low-voltage electrical systems. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair fire alarm system failures, troubles, and intermittent issues. Troubleshoot open circuits, short circuits, and ground faults efficiently. Perform advanced electrical testing using multimeters and other diagnostic equipment. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, riser diagrams, and as-built drawings. Trace circuits and identify wiring issues within existing systems. Repair and replace field devices, control equipment, power supplies, and initiating and notification circuits. Perform functional testing after repairs to verify proper system operation. Communicate findings and recommended repairs with customers and management. Complete accurate service reports and documentation. Maintain compliance with NFPA, NEC, local codes, and company standards. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience servicing and repairing commercial fire alarm systems (preferred). Strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems. Expert-level troubleshooting skills using a digital multimeter. Ability to interpret electrical schematics and fire alarm drawings. Working knowledge of fire alarm system programming and configuration. Experience with one or more of the following manufacturers is highly desirable: Notifier, Silent Knight, Fire-Lite, Edwards, Siemens, Simplex, Bosch, Gamewell-FCI NICET Fire Alarm certification is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Skills Understanding of networked fire alarm systems. Ability to perform panel diagnostics and identify programming-related issues.
