Mechanical Repair Technician#26-00552 Santa Fe Springs, CA
All On-site Job Description Job Description:
Seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Repair Technician. You will be responsible for performing complete operation checkouts, modifications and repair correction of problems . You will have the opportunity to repair critical components that make flying possible and safe for you, your loved ones, and for travelers around the world. Responsibilities:
Conducts inspection of incoming assemblies and components according to procedures and technical data Sets up repair and test facilities. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Repair as necessary identified units that fail test or tolerance levels. Assembles fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations. Use hand and power tools for part and component assembly. Ensure short cycle time repairs and returns ensuring quality processes. Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred:
Basic Computer skills for documenting repairs and following work instructions. Basic experience operating hand tools, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and test equipment Experience with measuring tools such as: micrometers, calipers, height gage, hydraulic gages, etc. Accurately read and interpret blueprints and overhaul manuals for assembly purposes Possibly temp to perm for the right person
Education:
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline
