This role is responsible for following established SOPs for machine setup and operation, operating laser equipment to weld battery pack terminals and materials, and verifying weld quality through inspection and testing. The ideal candidate has experience working with machinery, understands the importance of safe equipment operation, and is comfortable learning technical processes and software. This person should also be curious, quality-minded, and willing to support other production tasks during downtime. Responsibilities Follow SOPs for machine setup, operation, and shutdown Operate laser equipment to weld battery pack terminals and related components Follow process guides for different weld materials and configurations Inspect weld quality and confirm good electrical/mechanical connections Use QC methods such as IR and voltage checks to verify weld performance Troubleshoot poor welds, process issues, and machine-related inconsistencies Navigate machine software and production settings as needed Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area Support adjacent production tasks during downtime, including assembly or soldering work when needed Assist with process improvement and, over time, help evaluate new weld designs or methods Qualifications Experience operating machinery or production equipment in a manufacturing environment Ability to follow SOPs and technical work instructions Basic computer/software navigation skills Strong attention to detail and quality Understanding of safe machine operation and general production safety Ability to identify good vs. poor welds/connectionsPreferred:
