Job description Electronic Test Tech I - Senior Technician This position reports to the Testing Supervisor. This position will perform test setups and various production test assignments. Electronic Tech I position requires that the candidate meet the minimum entry requirements of the position. 2-year degree in Electronics. Previous experience or alternative formal training will be considered. Must be capable of reading technical drawings and electrical schematics. Must be capable of accurately setting up and using current meters, volt meters, oscilloscopes, and other commonly used electronic measurement equipment. Must understand electrical units of measure (mega, milli, micro, nano, pico, etc.) and be able to convert from one unit to another (e.g. nanoamps to microamps). Must be capable of learning tasks that are uncommon (diode burn-in, surge test, corona test, flash test, etc.). Must be able to accurately follow directions. Work assignments will be directed by the Test Area Supervisor and will require performing production test duties as well as special project support. Most work will involve setup and test of high voltage diodes, rectifier assemblies, multipliers, and power supplies. This position requires accurate testing. Accuracy is critical and impacts highly sensitive customer applications. Attention to detail is vital. Will be frequently required to read electrical schematics, prepare proper test setup, perform required electrical testing. Extensive use of oscilloscopes, volt meters, current meters, and various test equipment is required. This position requires working knowledge of required equipment.
